ABOUT ME
Hi, and welcome to my website.
This is Daniele, an Italian PhD student in Economics
at the New School
for Social Research (NY), where I'm writing my dissertation to be defended in Spring '09 at the latest.
I am also a PhD student at University
of Rome "La Sapienza", and I should defend my thesis there in late 2008.
My recent research focuses mostly on models of
Endogenous Technical Change, in two directions: environmental policy, and labor economics and growth. Before, I've been working on non-linear dynamic macroeconomic models too. If you want, you can click
here to take a look at my papers.
I very much like teaching, and I had the opportunity to develop my teaching skills in conducting discussion sections in Econometrics and Microeconomic Theory, both at a PhD level at the New School, and Statistics for Economics at Barnard College of Columbia University. I've also been instructing two Graduate Computer Language Workshops: one in Economics and Econometrics using MatLab, and the other on Mathematica for Economic Modeling. To learn more, please check
out the classes
I taught or TA'd so far.
I have a huge passion and some achievements
in music too. I'm the leader and songwriter of a band called urbanSoul, in which I sing and play keyboards.
Together we toured for years around Italy and
Europe before my move to New York, and we signed
for an Italian label in 2005. Our first CD was released in June
07, and you can listen to some of our tunes by clicking here.
Last but not least, I owe almost
everything I am and have in this very moment to my wonderful wife
Silvia,
who's also my webmaster.
